The Director of Marketing, Mass Spectrometry Division (MSD) will lead Agilent’s LCMS and GCMS marketing teams, including product and applications marketing within MSD. This leader will drive strategy of the MS portfolio; achieved through analysis and in-depth understanding of targeted markets, market trends, customer business issues, and the competitive environment.


As a leader with vision, this role handles product line strategy for growing MS portfolio spanning; single quadrupole (SQ), triple quadrupole (TQ), time-of-flight (TOF), quadrupole time-of-flight (QTOF) and ion mobility QTOF (IM-QTOF). The GCMS and LCMS portfolio serves multiple end-markets across a diverse end-customer base. This position also leads & develops a large team of talented marketing and applications professionals who lead the strategic planning process to ensure marketing, applications, and R&D functions align to key initiatives required for accelerated growth within GCMS and LCMS platforms.


As a strategic leader, this position drives Agilent’s value proposition and strong brand presence in the marketplace. With goals to achieve top-line & bottom-line, by working closely with key partners across multiple functions.  Impactful product & solution launches will be essential to ensure ramp to volume success. You will need strong analytical & critical thinking skills to analyze market trends, conduct market research, intelligence gathering, and analyze business performance data to allow for accurate trend assessments and forecasting.

Bachelor’s, Master’s Degree or University Degree (PhD) or equivalent in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related science; or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of meaningful experience in analytical instruments industry, with MS industry preferred. Roles can include marketing, sales and applications development.
4+ years in product marketing management required with proven ability to lead large, sophisticated teams.
Experience being a cross-functional collaborator with validated & demonstrated results.
Experience in launching and commercialization of MS products with a track record of success.
Experience with marketing and voice of customer processes to impact product & division strategy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to travel 35% of the time globally (post pandemic)
