As a Mass Spectrometry Inside Product Specialist focused on driving growth of Biopharma sales you will combine your knowledge of analytical instrumentation with your strong selling skills. Working with a dedicated team in our dynamic sales environment, your typical day will include:

  • Supporting the Mass Spectrometry Product Specialists throughout the Biopharma Sales process
  • Driving order growth through Biopharma prospecting activities, digital and virtual outreach
  • Configuring system upgrades for Biopharma workflows
    Working with Product Specialists and Account Managers to qualify inbound Biopharma leads
  • Recommending solutions that enhance the Customer experience with Agilent mass spectrometry systems
  • Focusing on acquiring new Biopharma customers and retaining and growing an existing installed base of customers
  • Mentoring and coaching newer members of the Sales Development team

Responsibilities: 

  • Selling company products/systems and services to end-user customers in assigned territory, industry, or accounts, primarily through outbound and inbound telephone sales activities
  • Acts as part of a sales team, and supports Field Sales staff. May act as sole sales representative for assigned territory, industry, accounts, or products
  • Represents the company to the customer and the customer to the company in all sales-oriented activities
    Focuses on acquiring new customers and retaining and growing an existing installed base of customers
  • Closing the sale on systems and products or may generate leads for Field sales staff. Carries team or individual quota
    Handle complex leads, qualified and nurture the leads to potential business opportunities
  • Works on inside sales assignments with broadly defined objectives
  • Solves non-routine issues, challenges and problems within field of specialization 

*Ability to work flexible East Coast and West Coast hours.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent in Chemistry or Life Sciences related field.
    PhD is a plus
  • 4+ years of experience with Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical workflows or applications
    Sales experience and proficiency in configuring or installing LCMS systems and peripheral analytical products preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment
  • Experience and comfort using digital selling tools
    Excellent verbal, written and phone communications skills, with a strong interest in interacting directly with customers via phone and email
  • Comfort being on-camera in a virtual selling environment as well as creating video content for internal and external use
  • Requires general proficiency with Microsoft Office, systems and procedures to accomplish job
    Experience with SAP CRM a plus
