Scientist, Proteomics Technologies will play a key bench scientific role in on-going technology on-boarding, product transfer and development within Biodesix’ regulated Laboratory in Boulder, CO. The Scientist will be generally versed in analytic chemistry methodology, specifically in mass spectrophotometric test development for the protein and peptide analysis. Our current areas of technology focus are MALDI-ToF and LC/MS/MS (MRM) with opportunities to lead implementation in the clinical laboratory.
Our products and services are intended for biopharma services and for use as an aid in clinical decision making. Requirements for this position include excellent analytical and deductive capabilities. This position will play a key role in end-to-end assay and product development efforts (on-boarding new proteomic technologies, test transfer through commercial launch, and on-market support). The successful candidate has a strong analytic mindset and is able to reduce high complexity methods to formal experimental design and lead the conduct of documented development and Laboratory operational studies. The ideal candidate has demonstrated work experience in feasibility, and in assay/product development in a regulated diagnostic business environment.
Individual will be expected to contribute both as an individual, and as part of a highly cross-functional team that operates across our laboratory sites. Additional responsibilities include routine troubleshooting, development of QC measures for monitoring instrument and assay performance, participation in new product feasibility and risk analyses. Presentation of technical findings and contribution to written technical reports is expected. Ongoing training will be provided to supplement key skills required to perform the functions of this position as applicable.
