Job Summary

In this role, you will ensure products meet defined exit criteria while following development practices. The ideal candidate is passionate about product development and quality and can uncover critical issues that most others would not.

Using our test tools and agile processes to assist developers, ensure that products work as expected and manage the tools, frameworks, and verification environments.  In addition to software verification, this position will also require the candidate to conduct elicitation and documentation of software requirements, use cases and specifications.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with software verification specialists, developers, and feature owner to plan and execute all aspects of verification on a single feature at a time and/or software release.
Design, implement and execute on manual verification and automated verification activities as part of the software development process.
Assist in review of software test plan, design, protocols from others
Monitor and report the results of verification on our software development projects, including test environment, defect summaries, requirements status etc.
Engage in providing feedback to continuous improvement opportunities including manual and automated test management, automation test maintenance, unit, integration and system level test design, software verification planning and reporting, test progress tracking.
Follow and contribute to training others on how to follow existing software verification processes and best practices.

Required Qualifications

Degree in science, engineering or computer science with a minimum 5 years’ experience in software verification or equivalent
Experience with automation testing, and test tools (FIT, White, Test Complete, Selenium, Test Studio etc.)
Experience working on Windows-based software applications, preferably those that interface with hardware
Knowledge of the SDLC and verification lifecycle
 

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of LC/MS technology and scientific applications or regulated industry experience is an asset.
Experience with the development for cloud-based applications
Experience leading software verification activities in a feature/release
