Position Summary & Overview
Are you an omics or biomarker research mass spectrometry expert looking for a career in marketing and business development? The Market Development Manager for Biomarker Research Applications is a phenomenal opportunity to apply your technical skills towards developing creative growth strategies that will drive the expansion of SCIEX technology in these research applications. Major Responsibilities
Develop and implement growth strategies and action plans that will generate growth in the Biomarker Research segment and increases in market share
Design and implement marketing and lead-generation programs that enable the attainment of sales goals with support from the marketing communications specialists
Build outbound customer-facing marketing communication and messaging to drive growth through brand awareness, lead generation, and prospect engagement
Support annual conference/event/seminar planning, and passionate about meeting new and existing customers, and expansion of the SCIEX brand
Use traditional and emerging digital marketing communication platforms to drive customer engagement with marketing campaigns
Required Skills & Experience
BS or equivalent degree, advanced degree in life sciences or related field a plus, with no less than 5 years of proven experience in mass spectrometry-related omics or life science research applications
Strategic and creative, with ability to translate complex technical concepts into marketing messages and content that resonates with scientists
Experience managing projects from inception to completion, achieving landmarks through strong leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams
Effective interpersonal skills both written and verbal, with experience communicating and networking at industry tradeshows
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and driven to achieve short and long-term business goals and targets
