A Research Scientist position is available in the Diabetes and Obesity Center at the University of Louisville. Applicants should have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree with bioanalytical research experience. We are interested in a candidate who possesses skills in LC-MS based untargeted and targeted small molecule analysis. Experience with operating high-resolution mass spectrometers, metabolomics, lipidomics and/or flux analysis is highly desired. The primary duties will be to operate liquid mass spectrometry instruments, use and develop untargeted and targeted LC-MS-based methods and workflows, and perform software analyses of complex datasets.
Ph.D. with seven years of applied research experience in a related field. A Master’s degree and ten years of applied research experience may be substituted for the requirements noted. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Grade EG Salary Minimum $48,421
At least two years of experience in analytical biochemistry involving chromatographic separations and mass spectrometric measurements is desirable.
