We are currently looking for a highly motivated and skilled senior analytical chemist at the Metabolite Profiling Unit, Metabolite Medicine Division, BLAVATNIK CENTER for Drug Discovery (BCDD), Tel Aviv University, Israel.
The Metabolite Profiling Unit is responsible for developing, validating, and implementing UHPLC-MS/MS based analytical assays for both targeted and untargeted metabolite profiling. We focus on own research as well as interdisciplinary collaborations with both academic and industry research groups. In collaborations at the Metabolite Profiling Unit, we actively take part in the analytical method development, optimization, sample preparation, data analysis, and summarizing results both in writing and oral presentations.
We are looking for a candidate with the ability to offer scientifically based solutions and capability of critical thinking when involved in trouble shooting and problem solving. An engaged analytical chemist that actively can take part in the research activities at the Metabolite Profiling Unit, inspire and motivate colleagues, and possesses good communication skills in both oral and written English.
The senior analytical chemist joining our team will be playing an important role in the operation and maintenance of UHPLC-MS/MS instrumentation. Most important is the ability and willingness to learn, acquire new skills, and take active part in establishing analytical assays to produce high quality data.
We offer an open-minded work environment in newly established laboratories equipped with state of the art instrumentations (e.g. MALDI-TOF/TOF rapifleX® MALDI Tissuetyper®, Orbitrap ID-X tribrid mass spectrometer, Q Exactive™ Focus hybrid quadrupole-Orbitrap MS, and soon a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer ).

o Experience with automated sample preparation is an advantage, however not a requirement.
