The FeMS+ “Out of the Shadows” is our premiere Leadership Development program for women and in mid- to senior-level positions who wish to advance their career. This program aims to provide opportunities for personal and professional development. We partner with well-known companies globally to organize coaching events for a select number of candidates.

Partner with FeMS+
FeMS+ is seeking companies to partner in hosting a one-day Leadership Development Program for up to 20 women scientists in mid- to senior-level careers, who wish to advance into senior leadership roles. Event partner is responsible for providing venue, coach, food and beverage, and leadership books for the event; or funding to cover the above. Please refer to the overview document below and contact the FeMS+ Leadership Development Committee for more information.

Out of the Shadows 女性領導力發展計畫 為 FeMS+(Females in Mass Spectrometry) 主辦之旗艦級女性領導力培訓活動,專為中高階職涯階段的女性科學家設計,協助參與者在專業場域中建立自信、強化影響力,並邁向更高層的領導角色。
本次活動獲 中央研究院、台灣女科技人學會 及 國家科學及技術委員會 共同支持,採一日制、經甄選、免費參與之工作坊形式。活動內容涵蓋專業教練引導、領導經驗分享、座談討論與交流活動,協助學員發展個人化的領導策略與支持系統,並提升高階領導者所需的專業表現力、溝通影響力與公共能見度。
工作坊將以雙語進行。參與者可以選擇使用中文或英文交流。

Today, women are still underrepresented in senior leadership roles — 17% in Asia-Pacific — far from parity [1]. “Out of the Shadows” (OTS) is our premiere Leadership Development program for women in mid- to senior-level positions who wish to advance their career. Participating in this one-day OTS workshop will empower you to step out of the shadows and explore what else is in your realm of possibilities and opportunities.
This program is complimentary for accepted applicants and is made possible by Academia Sinica, the Society of Taiwan Women in Science and Technology, and the National Science and Technology Council. Only those who are strongly committed to attending should apply. Past cohort members are welcome to apply. Applications have closed.
This April event is convenient for those who will be attending Clinical Mass Spectrometry Conference in Asia (CMSCA) 2026 in Taoyuan, Taiwan. You can still apply to attend this OTS event if you are not attending CMSCA 2026.

- Expectations: This workshop focusses on professional leadership development. While networking at the workshop offers opportunity to connect with leaders in the field, it is not geared towards securing employment or project funding. Additionally, this workshop does not cover topics related to advancement in mass spectrometry or general project management.
